Brown County Rural Electrical Association (BCREA), a rural electric distribution cooperative with over 4,200 members and annual revenues of nearly $15 million, is seeking a full-time Billing & Customer Service Representative/Data Analyst to join our dedicated work force of 15 employees.


The successful candidate will coordinate the cooperative’s accounts receivable, collection and billing activities, track and monitor the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system and analyze and interpret meter data.  He/she will provide accurate billing information, process payments, maintain a computer database for billing records, calculate fees and charges, and answer member billing questions.


A High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and Associate’s degree in bookkeeping, accounting computer science, statistics, business administration or related field is preferred.  Bookkeeping/basic accounting knowledge; proficiency in using computers, word processing and spreadsheets; ability to learn new computer applications; exceptional communication skills; and detail-orientation also required.
