SESSION 1
Surviving and Thriving Through Change

Use proven transition model and coaching techniques to lead your team through the constant changes you experience in today’s business environment.

 

OUTCOMES

  • Distinguish the difference between change and transition
  • Identify stages in the transition process and techniques for effectively coaching employees through each stage
  • Explore the importance of maintaining trust, compassion, stability and hope during times of change
  • Practice techniques for effectively communicating change

 

SESSION 2
Building Trust Through Communication and Conflict

Use techniques from Crucial Conversations to go from conflict to resolution while maintaining respectful and trusting relationships with those involved.

 

OUTCOMES

  • Learn to recognize when you are in a state of conflict and understand the importance of staying in dialogue to move toward resolution
  • Practice articulating your own motives before entering into a conversation
  • Apply techniques for refocusing a conversation when distractions occur
  • Learn to identify and react when safety is at risk in a conversation
  • Practice techniques for speaking persuasively during conflict, while still listening and taking other’s views into account
  • Explore techniques for turning conversation into action and results

 

SESSION 3
Coaching for motivation, engagement and performance

Use Gallup’s Strengths Based Coaching Model to enhance employee performance by establishing expectations, continually coaching and creating accountability.

 

OUTCOMES

  • Identify factors that help you create a motivational work environment
  • Apply techniques for collaboratively defining and communicating goals and expectations for employees
  • Practice the 5 coaching conversations that increase employee engagement
  • Develop and practice conversations that will help employees find motivation to improve performance

 

SESSION 4
Leading a Diverse Workforce

Equip leaders with data, knowledge and strategies to build and engage a diverse and inclusive workforce.

 

OUTCOMES

  • Gain awareness of and respect for the multiple dimensions of diversity in the workplace
  • Assess individual awareness and perception of diversity
  • Understand the effect of commonly held perceptions and biases on trust, respect, and employee engagement
  • Identify leadership techniques that can be used to build trust, compassion, stability and hope among diverse work teams


PRESENTATION & MATERIALS 

Class size is limited to 20 people to provide maximum opportunity for participants to benefit from the instructor-led multimedia activities. Each participant receives an email that includes the Webex log in details and an attachment with materials needed for class.
