As a consumer-owned generation and transmission company, we are Minnesota's second largest utility based on generating capacity.  We are seeking a Member Business Process Strategist to represent member owner cooperatives’ strategies and business needs as a member-owner advocate within GRE and identify and create customized information and technical solutions; including process design, member intelligence, communication, documentation, and key performance indicators of member owner cooperatives’ strategies and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead member program reporting and documentation to ensure consistency across all member-owners.
  • Collaborate and coordinate process improvements, member reporting and program compliance stance.
  • Represent business group within IT projects including: CIP reform and associated system evolution, and member intelligence dashboard (CRM) and cross-organizational process development.
  • Assist in development of customized member services planning process and key performance indicator reporting, program evolution, and data analytics input.
  • Prepares and communicates metrics to the member services team and other stakeholders. Metrics may include areas such as CIP/CEEP annual reporting, budgeting entries and member intelligence within and outside of GRE.
  • Assists with communicating and tracking strategic imperative work plan activity, which includes preparing presentations and utilizing Enterprise Strategy & Planning (ESP) to record updates.
  • Develops and distributes regular reports such as CIP/CEEP status/rebate (budget to actual) accounts and work plan updates in partnership with member technology and innovation department.
  • Assembles documentation for member program metrics and services plans.
  • Review and approval all member rebates in coordination with other member services staff.
  • Coordinates member services and marketing procedures/process documentation updates on an annual basis to ensure transparency and compliance is maintained. Assists with tracking, organizing and keeping all compliance activities on schedule to meet on-going, standard deadlines.
  • Provide continuous advocacy and consultative services to member cooperatives that will ensure member satisfaction and a positive member experience through a customized member services plan.
  • An advocate on behalf of our members to articulate the cooperative’s business needs and challenges to the appropriate GRE staff and seek timely resolution of member-owner complaints and issues.
  • Conduct regular visits with assigned member cooperatives and include a review of the assigned member cooperatives’ customized member services.
  • Review and approve member cooperatives’ rebate requests in a timely manner and ensure maximum energy savings and cost-effective results.
  • Obtain a clear and comprehensive understanding of the cooperative’s business issues and challenges which includes identifying short-term and long-term opportunities to provide value and create a customized member services plan.
  • Provide quality follow-up on promised deliverables.
  • Facilitate investigation and closure to member cooperatives’ complaints/issues by involving appropriate GRE staff.
  • Review and approve member cooperatives’ rebate requests in a timely manner and ensure maximum energy savings and cost-effective results.
  • Partner with member technology and innovation group to make recommendations on program design changes and provide consultation and communication to GRE and member owners.

Qualifications:

 

Knowledge typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or energy related field. Seven+ years of experience in electric utility analysis, sales, business analysis, project management or marketing. Master’s degree and Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred. Frequent day travel to member cooperatives and regional meetings/events.
