General Summary 

We currently have an opening for an Employee Engagement and Development Specialist in our employee engagement and development department. This position will be located in Maple Grove, MN. The successful candidate will design learning solutions for a variety of audiences incorporating best practices in instructional design and blended learning that aligns with our strategy, company culture and brand standards. In addition, this position will plan and facilitate various employee activities and be responsible for our joint apprenticeship committee.


  • Design, develop and facilitate training content based on learning/business objectives and instructional design methodologies that exemplify our organization’s culture.
  • Promote a positive employee experience through on-boarding, orientation, employee engagement activities and the use of technology.
  • Lead employee engagement activities including annual community giving campaign, week of service, food and blood drives includes the management of the company store.
  • Lead and administer the joint apprenticeship program through the development, implementation and maintenance of resources.
  • Administer and maintain the learning management system and related processes.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, instructional design, organizational development or related field.
  • Five years or more of proven instructional design and training delivery experience including writing and developing comprehensive programs.
  • Certification or experience preferred in some of the following assessments: Creatrix, Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) and Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode (TKI), Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal II or III.
  • Proficiency with learning management system administration. (Cornerstone preferred).
  • Proven experience developing eLearning content. Experience with Articulate 360, Lectora and Vyond (formerly GoAnimate).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential data and information, exercise discretion and use sound judgement.
  • Skills in the Microsoft Office suite.

Working Conditions:

Normal office conditions with occasional travel.
