  All restored within four days.


Mutual Aid Storm relief information

  • BENCO reports Highline, Brown County REA, MN Valley Jordon, and Dakota assisted with restoration.

  • Federated received help from four Iowa electric cooperatives that sent a total of 18 linemen. Contractor Karian Peterson sent nine linemen. Two from Jackson municipal assisted, along with two from Meeker Electric Cooperative in Litchfield. That brought the grand total of line crews working in Jackson County to more than 60 working outage restoration
  • Freeborn-Mower had assistance from 124 lineworkers on Saturday. They secured contractor crews as well as help from a number of western Wisconsin Co-ops through their Dairyland mutual assistance program.

  • Nobles received extra help from cooperatives and contractors. The co-op crews included Agralite Electric, Minnesota Valley Cooperative Light and Power Association, Lyon-Lincoln Electric Cooperative, Lake Region Electric Cooperative and Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative.
  • Peoples Electric Cooperative received restoration support Connexus, Dakota Electric, East Central Energy, Goodhue Electric, Legacy Powerline Construction, Lake Region,  Minnesota Valley Electric, Rochester Public Utilities and Stearns Electric.
  • As reported on Monday, April 15, Sioux Valley Energy has 29 of their own linemen and 90 storm relief linemen working on restoration.  Four additional lineworkers from Southeastern Electric, SD and seven lineworkers from East River Electric are on the way.  Sioux Valley Energy has the following personnel working on their system: Lineman (29), Electricians (5), 6 Staking Engineers (6). Extra lineman equipped with needed equipment are there from the following organizations: Kingsbury Electric (2), Connexus Energy (8), Oahe Electric (4), West Central Electric (4), Dakota Energy (4), Northern Electric (4), HD Electric (2), Lake Region Electric (2), Kingsbury Electric (2), Charles Mix (2), Douglas Electric (2), Terminating Solutions (10), Lake States Construction (10), Legacy Powerline (10). Karian Peterson Contracting has brought three bucket trucks, three digger derricks, and One-track digger. Codington Clark Electric has provided one bucket truck and one digger derrick.

  • South Central Electric received mutual aid assistance from the City of St. James, Redwood Electric Cooperative, Red River Valley Cooperative Power and Karian Peterson Power Line.   There were about 55 linemen working on restoring power over the duration of outage.

  • Iowa sent 70 lineworkers to four co-ops in southern Minnesota.
